Mary Jo Clark, age 79, passed away on March 4 to join her husband Bill in a better place. Mary Jo was a native of Oklahoma City. She traveled to all fifty states with her husband both for business and pleasure. She spent her life in the service of the Lord and was a member of Resurrection Free Methodist Church of Oklahoma City. She was a mother who loved and believed in her children and provided life-long support to them. Mary Jo will be certainly missed by those people whose lives she touched through her many decades on earth. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Clapper, father, Chelsea Clapper, brother Donald Clapper, grandson, Keith Clark and most recently her beloved husband Bill in July of 2008. Mary Jo is survived by her son, Cliff Clark of St. Paul, MN and his wife Karen also of St. Paul. She is also survived by her daughter, Kathy Smith of Moore, OK and her husband Bob also of Moore. Other surviving family members include granddaughter, Michelle Lassak and husband Marshall of Charleston, IL, granddaughter Maggie Clark of St. Paul, MN, great grandson Taylor Clark of Moore, OK, great grandson Tanner Lassak of Charleston, IL and great granddaughter Haylee Lassak also of Charleston, IL, brother Russ Clapper of Anahuac, TX and sister Dorothy Mabry of OKC. Visitation will occur at Mercer Adams Funeral Home located at 3925 North Asbury Avenue in Bethany. Hours for viewing are as follows: Monday, March 8 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 9 from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM. An opportunity to visit the family will be provided between 6:30 and 8:30 PM on Tuesday, March 9. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 10 at Resurrection Free Methodist Church located at 6000 N. MacArthur, Warr Acres.
