Mary Ellen Jakeway, 87, passed away August 10, 2013 in Oklahoma City. She was born August 8, 1926 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Roy and Irene Martin. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Irene Martin, her brother, Roy Louis Martin, son, Roy "Bill" Jakeway, and an infant daughter and infant son. She is survived by her children: son, Louis "Bud" Jakeway and Karen Millenacker, daughter, Nancy Lipinski and husband Ron, daughter, Linda Taylor, daughter, Susan Carson-Bryant and husband Mark, daughter, Shirley Pollard and husband Tom, daughter, Sherry Johnson and husband David, and son, Tony Jakeway and wife Staci. Mary is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. The family would like to say thank you to our sister, Sherry Jakeway Johnson and her co-workers at Integris Baptist Hospice House on Memorial Road. They were all incredibly wonderful to our family and taking care of our mother in her final days. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 1:00pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Chapel. A private burial service will follow in Wynnewood, OK.
