Mary Ellen Gorman died November 25, 2016 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born May 19, 1924 in Oklahoma City, OK to Roscoe Hadley and Ethel (Rhoades) Price. She was a 1981 graduate of Oklahoma City University. She was employed at Tinker Field and was a retired school teacher. Mary was a longtime member of several local churches in the Oklahoma City area where she taught Sunday school of all ages, sponsored youth groups and participated at Falls Creek. She was never afraid to share her faith in Jesus Christ even with a stranger. Mary enjoyed her teaching experience with grades 5-8 at Lakeview Christian School and several times was voted for teacher of the year by her students. She dearly loved her Dad, Mom, two brothers and other extended family. She is affectionately remembered for her generous spirit, love for people, her hats and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert W. Gorman; brothers, Hadley and Louis and her beloved first cousin, Linn Maxwell Keller. She is survived by her two nephews, Grant and Natalie Price, Edmond, OK and Wayne and Mary Price, Tuttle, OK. The family wishes to thank the staff of The Lakes Nursing Home, Humanity Hospice for their loving care and in particular the Ferguson family who made sure she had everything she needed. She will be greatly missed by her fellow teachers, cohorts and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Marys life on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 2-5pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, OK. Interment will be in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
