Obituary

Mary Alpha (Wagnon) Arnold departed to be with her Lord on May 14, 2010 at the age of 94. Mary was born November 1, 1915 to John Ferris Wagnon and Alice (Chambless) Wagnon in Enterprise, OK. She married Luther Arnold on August 13, 1961. She was an original Rosie the Riveter as she worked at and retired from Tinker Air Force Base working with sheet metal on aircraft. Because of her skills she could handle tools as well as any man. Mary also loved working with ceramics, using her own kiln and showing great art work on the finished products. Not only were her hands skillful with tools but she loved quilting and sewing as well. One of her great times of fellowship was with her Sunday School Class at Council Road Baptist Church where she was a member. She is survived by her sister, Freeda Schuetz of Bethany, brother George Wagnon and wife Gladys of Quinton, OK and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Visitation will be Sunday, May 16 from noon-9 pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Funeral services will be Monday, May 17 at 2 pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
