Mary Adams, 76, died Sept. 27, 2011. She was born Jan. 19, 1935 to John and Alta (Wilson) Winters. She was married July 30, 1955 to the love of her life, Orbin. Mary retired from American Mortgage Co. She loved flat track motorcycle racing, NASCAR racing, and OU and Dallas Cowboy football. Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Reba Jean Watt, Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Orbin; daughter, Vicky Sowders (Denny); son, Scott Adams; grandchildren Nicalee Sowders, Bret Sowders, Nickalas Sowders and Jonathan Bewley; great-grandchildren Jada Sowders and Malak Sowders; brother, Bill Winters; and a host of friends and relatives. Services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, October 1, at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill.
