Martha Mae White, 90, died August 12, 2014 in Piedmont, OK. She was born February 22, 1924 in Perry, OK to Posey and Anna (Owen) McClendon. She was founder of Mother's Day Out at Mayfair Heights United Methodist Church and through that ministry touched many young couples and their children. She was active in United Methodist Women, girl scouts, cub scouts, and PTA. She married Robert White in 1947 in OKC and he preceded her in death. Survivors include four children: sons, John, Bill and David White, daughter, Stella Sims, and their spouses; nine grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, her sister, Mary Redman, and nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, at Mercer-Adams. Services will be 2:00pm, Saturday, August 16 at Mayfair Heights United Methodist Church, 3131 N.W. 50th St., OKC, with family receiving friends from 1-2pm for a celebration of her life. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mayfair Heights UMW/Kitchen fund.
