Martha J. Kirkendall, 94, died July 3, 2012. She was born April 17, 1918 in Owasso, OK to Luther and Dora (Herkimer) Leland. She was a member of Canadian Hills Church of the Nazarene. She loved sewing, quilting and really enjoyed traveling and camping with her family. She was a sales clerk at Dillard's for over 20 years, first at the Shepherd Mall location before moving to Penn Square Mall. She married Forrest Kirkendall on November 7, 1937 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death March 17, 1980. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Vera Ledbetter and Delphine Wright, and 4 brothers, Charles, Don, Bill and Floyd Leland. Survivors include sons, Robert of Pie Town, New Mexico and Lee of Amarillo, Texas; daughters, Donna Rozell and husband Larry of Noel, Missouri, Ginger Smith and husband Jerry of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Alan and Mark Kirkendall, Todd and Troy Rozell, Jeffrey and Brian Smith; great-grandchildren, Katy, Jessica, Chad, Amanda, Sha, Skyler, Amber, Josh and Adrianna; great-great-grandchildren, Sierra, Mason and Khloe. Viewing will be Thursday, noon-9pm with the family from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be Friday, July 6, 2:00 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment following in Bethany Cemetery.
