God placed Marland McCraw on this earth on July 8, 1934 to Aaron L. and Thelma McCraw in Tuskahoma, OK. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1952. Marland married his high school sweetheart, Helen L. Mitchell on January 16, 1954. They had 5 children: sons, Marland Kent (deceased at 2 days old), Marty Lynn, Terry Keane, Russ Anthony, and daughter, Brenda Michelle Smith. Marland enjoyed a 38-year career with OG&E. Upon retirement, he made it a priority to spend quality time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marland loved most sports and enjoyed coaching opportunities with the grandchildren. He was a fan of OU and passed that love along to his sons. He had a lot of fun with an OSU daughter! Marland loved God and church and was a faithful friend and co-laborer with the Good News Church congregation and Pastor Tom Arnold. We rejoice that Marland is heaven-bound and with brother, Ed McCraw, who preceded him in death. Marland leaves behind his wife, Helen McCraw; his children; sister-in-law, Shirleye McCraw; and twin sisters, Lois and Doris along with their husbands, Jim Brennan and Jim Wininger; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many more extended family members who loved and respected Marland very much. Viewing will be Thursday and Friday, 9am-9pm with family present on Friday 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be held Saturday, April 13, 10:30am at Good News Church in Yukon. Interment will be at 2:30pm in Fairlawn Cemetery, Stillwater, OK.
