Mark Stephen Phillips was born March 16, 1953 in Freemont, NE to Doran Carter and Elaine Marion (Ferguson) Phillips and passed away on December 31, 2015 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a senior radio technician for 18 years for the Dept. of Public Safety and System Performance engineer for 16 years at AT&T. He loved vehicles, motorcycles, planes, computers, cycling, 70s music, his pets, military history and fixing things. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Ilene Phillips; daughter, Aleisha Phillips; mother, Elaine Phillips; sister, Daria Bossman and husband William and 3 nephews. To most he likely seemed rough and remote, but to the ones he loved the most, who knew him truly, he loved deeply, with a tenderness only a select few got to witness. He was our gentle giant, and he quietly filled our hearts and will do so forever. Viewing will be Monday, Jan 4 from Noon-9pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany.
