Marjorie Jennings of Oklahoma City went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2012. Marjorie was 89 years young. She suffered many years with Parkinson's, but still, Monnie (as she was known to her close friends) reached out to others and always had time to give of herself to different organizations in the area. Marjorie survived her late husband, Roy, of OKC. Roy was in the military, so they traveled extensively in Europe over the years. Monnie had so much love and warmth for those around her and her deep faith in the Lord was unshakable. She was an active member of Putnam City Baptist Church in OKC. Monnie is survived by a sister, Billie Lopez of OKC; niece, Tanis Lopez; and cousins, Kathy Drilling and Pamela Dennis, also of OKC. She was loved by all who knew her. Monnie had many cherished friends who helped her, and also Care Plus Home Health had great and loyal staff that stayed with her and helped so much. One of the many beautiful qualities Monnie possessed was that even in the adversity of her own debilitating illness, she always had time to speak words of kindness and love to all in her home. We will miss you more than we can ever put into words. So, off you go, Monnie, to Glory. The sky will shine a little brighter tonight with you lighting our way. Family visitation will be Thursday, 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, August 3, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK.
