Marion David Wilson, 71, died November 10, 2013. He was born August 23, 1942 in Pawnee, OK to Wilford and Sally (Gilliland) Wilson. He was raised in Maud, OK where he played football, basketball, baseball and ran track for Maud High School, graduating in 1960. He attended Murray State College before going to work for Western Electric in 1962, retiring after 35 years when the company was called Lucent Technologies. He served in the Air National Guard, '63-'69. He volunteered as a Camp Classen counselor '60-'62 and at St. Charles Catholic School as a baseball, football and girls basketball coach from '71-'86. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughter, Melissa Springfield and husband Tom and their children, Sydney and Jake, daughter, Carrie Wilson, daughter, Bonnie Ferguson and husband Ryan and their children Annie and Kate; and sister, Carolyn Aleman and husband Simon. Memorial service will be Friday, November 15, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany.
