Marilyn Ann
Stone
Jan 3, 1932 — Mar 23, 2026
Marilyn Ann Stone, born Marilyn Ann Taylor on January 3, 1932, in Kingfisher, OK, passed into her heavenly home on March 23, 2026. The daughter of Ruby and Charlie Taylor, Marilyn lived a life marked by deep faith, gentleness, and a true servant's heart that touched people across generations and around the world.
Marilyn devoted more than forty years to serving internationals through Putnam City Baptist Church where she co-taught the International Sunday School class with unwavering love and patience. She sponsored many individuals from Vietnam, taught English as a second language, and became a spiritual mother to countless students who remained faithful to her throughout her life. Her students adored her, often giving back to her in ways that reflected the profound impact she had on their lives.
Her home was a place of beauty and warmth. An avid gardener, Marilyn transformed her yard into a vibrant garden filled with flowers she lovingly tended. She remembered every birthday, faithfully sending cards to her children and grandchildren – small acts of kindness that made each person feel cherished.
Family was one of Marilyn's greatest joys. She treasured time with her three sons and their families, filling holidays with laughter, warmth, and her signature seasonal decorations that made every celebration feel special. She was gentle, funny and remarkably positive, always finding good in every circumstance and never offering a complaint.
Her life was firmly rooted in her faith. Marilyn read her Bible daily, prayed faithfully, and lived out her love for Jesus in every interaction. Her life was unmistakably marked by grace, humility, and a quiet but steadfast devotion to her Savior. She looked forward with hope to being reunited with her beloved husband and infant son and now rests in the joy of that promise fulfilled.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Gordon Stone, Garreth Stone, and Gregory Stone; her daughters-in-law, Donna Stone and Lee Stone; her grandchildren, Shauna and her husband Chris Stone, Benjamin Stone and his wife Jennifer, Andrea Taylor and her husband LeWayne, and Katie Givens; great-grandchildren, Kaitin Taylor, Easton Taylor, Elijah Stone, Samantha Stone and Emily Stone; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, parents and husband.
Marilyn's legacy is one of faith, service and steadfast love – a life beautifully lived and deeply treasured by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to Two Roads Foundation, an organization near to her heart (only2roads.org).
A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 10:00am, at Putnam City Baptist Church, 11401 N. Rockwell, Oklahoma City, OK.
