Marilyn Louise Poe, 68, died November 17, 2013. She was born May 10, 1945 in Blackwell, OK and adopted by Douglas and Margaret (Lawyer) Magers at the age of 2. On Sept. 11, 1965 she married the love of her life, Raymond Poe. Their passion was to travel the United States, including driving up through Maine until the highway ended into a dirt road. Her favorite trip was to Hawaii, where her parents lived for a short time. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as Deacon and Trustee on the church board. She was active in PEO, loved to crochet and would make a blanket for all the babies baptized in the church. She retired from Yukon Public Schools where she served as cafeteria manager for 26 years. Preceded in death by her parents, Doulas V and Margaret L Magers. She is survived by her husband, Raymond; daughters, Patricia Scheihing and husband Jeff, Deborah Primm and husband Jimmie, Jr.; son, Steven Poe and wife Rebecca; brother, Roy Magers and wife Marilyn; 6 grandchildren, Douglas, Christian, Cyrus, Charcy, Brennen and Shelby; and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation with family present will be Thursday, 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, November 22, 2:00pm at First Presbyterian Church of OKC with interment in Frisco Cemetery, Yukon, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, OKC or Urban Missions.
