Marguerite Wanita Franz was born on December 24, 1933 to Bluford and Gladys Harmon in Enid, OK. She passed away May 1, 2021. Marguerite grew up in Enid, OK and graduated from Enid High School in 1951. In 1951 Marguerite married Homer Gene Franz, and they made their Air Force home in Alaska followed by Florida before returning to Vance Air Force Base in Enid. After the births of their two children, they moved to Oklahoma City. Marguerite was a wonderful loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked in daycare for nearly 30 years at Lutheran Church of the Savior and Gods Little Blessings. Some of her fondest memories were traveling with Homer in the RV to McAllen, Texas and Sun City, Arizona plus the many weeks and weekends with family, friends, and relatives at Elk Creek on Lake Tenkiller. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Junior; and the love of her life, Homer. She is survived by son, Terry Franz; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Jarel Miles; and two grandchildren, Courtney and Jeffrey Miles. Viewing will be Wednesday, 12-8pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, May 6, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK, with interment following at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7801 N.W. Expressway, OKC, OK. .
