Margaret Jane Davis passed away at her home in Bethany, Oklahoma on August 6, 2026. She was born on March 8, 1942, in Fairview, Oklahoma, to John and Mavis Nichols. Jane spent her childhood in several small Oklahoma towns, including Fairview, Southard, Hennessey, Hinton, and Marietta, where her father owned and operated grocery stores.

While attending the University of Oklahoma, Jane met David Downing of Oklahoma City. The two were married in 1962 and together welcomed three children, Ann Lynn, Laura Susan, and John David.

On March 8, 1980, Jane married David A. Davis of Oklahoma City and gained two daughters, Susan (Elaine) Davis and Cheryl Lynn Davis.

Along with raising and nurturing her children and grandchildren and providing a wonderful home for her family, Jane enjoyed a successful 20-year career with Farmers Insurance as an insurance adjuster and supervisor.

She was loving, thoughtful, wise and generous. Memories of Jane will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jane is survived by her husband, David Alan Davis; daughter, Ann Eichelberger and her husband Drew; daughter, Laura Reaves; son, John Downing; daughter, Elaine Haack and her husband Tim; daughter, Cheryl Brooks and her husband Kevin; grandchildren, Tessa Jane Reaves, Jeromy Brush and his wife Lacey, David Brush, Emily Hefton and her husband Dustin, Alyson Aberle and her husband Brett, Cole Eichelberger and his husband Jackson, and Isaac Eichelberger; 6 great- grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mavis Nichols; and her brother, Gary Nichols.

Visitation with family present will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service on Monday, 5-7pm. Funeral services are Tuesday, August 11, 2:00pm, at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
