Margaret Ruth
Clark
Mar 17, 1943 — Jul 26, 2024
Margaret passed away unexpectedly in her sleep the morning of July 26, 2024. She was born in Orange, TX to H. C. Emmert and Alva June Emmert in March of 1943. She was the oldest of four children.
Margaret attended Southern Nazarene University for two years after she graduated high school. She completed courses in Business Management. She also attended Ivy Community College in Greenfield, Indiana where she studied IBM punch card machine language for mainframe computers. She went on to work at the University of Tennessee for the Arts and Sciences Department as an Administrative Assistant where she continued her education and mastered shorthand. Margaret moved to Oklahoma in 1982 and was hired by Mustang Fuel Corporation in 1983. She worked as an Insurance Coordinator and Purchasing Agent for the Purchasing Department until she finished her career with them after 33 years.
Margaret met Danny Clark in 1985 and they married in 1987. They were married for 37 years and made their home in McLoud, OK where they have lived for the last 27 years. Margaret and Danny shared a love for the outdoors. They loved camping and midnight fishing and developed a passion for gardening and raising livestock. Margaret enjoyed studying herbal medicine and food preservation. Growing up, Margaret was an accomplished singer and sang with her sister for years in the church. She also taught Sunday School and ran Vacation Bible School during the summer months at First Church of the Nazarene in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Margaret was a wonderful Christian woman who had a fierce thirst and understanding of the scriptures in the Bible. She was a prayer warrior who spent many hours on her knees in prayer for her family and loved ones. She never met a stranger, and she was loved by all who knew her.
The last six years of Margaret's life was riddled with debilitating health issues. Often, she struggled to perform the most basic activities around the home. Yet through it all, she continued to find alternate ways to accomplish what each day brought her.
Preceding Margaret in death were her father, Dr. H. C. Emmert; mother, Alva June Emmert; and granddaughters, Alyvia Allison Duffy and Claire Arayna Rhnea Self.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Danny Clark of McLoud; daughter, D'Arbara and husband Jakob Brecher of Newcastle; son, Robby Stiffler of McLoud; daughter, Angelia and husband Brian Duffy of Norman; stepson, Nick and wife Melissa Clark of Mountain View. Also, brother, Clay and wife Leslie Emmert of Oklahoma City; sister, Judy and husband Larry Mansfield of Oklahoma City; sister, Linda Skodak of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Michael Self of Newcastle, Chris Self of Missouri and Jacob Duffy of Norman; great-grandsons, Jace, Ledger, and Creed Self of Newcastle, and Ian Self of Missouri; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
With her eternal healing complete, we can only imagine she is lifting her beautiful soprano voice in praise to our Father God and Christ our Savior.
