Marcia Annette Willis was born June 14, 1953 at Wesleyan Hospital in Oklahoma City, to W. W. (Bill) Willis and Patsy Ruth (Hall) Willis. Marcia passed away April 12, 2011, at St. Francis hospital in Tulsa. Her age was 57 years and 10 months. Marcia attended Bethany public schools, and received her Masters degree in Special Education; Gifted and Talented, from Oklahoma City University in 1981. On August 17, 1984, Marcia married Stephen M. Holt in Bethany. She was a devoted special education teacher in the Yukon, Putnam City, Broken Arrow and Tulsa public school systems before retiring. Everyone who knew Marcia knew of her love for her children and grandchildren, cats, and penguins of all kinds. Marcia has an extensive collection of penguin figurines, t-shirts, cards, and socks. When asked what she would like as a gift, she once replied, Well, all of my penguin socks are wearing out.
Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, Patsy Willis and Winifred Willis, one sister, Wynoma Dean Jean (Challis) Powell, and one brother, William Thane Bill Challis. Survivors include her husband Stephen Holt, of the home; one daughter, Merridith Elaine York of Prosper, Texas, one son, Christopher Dean Pucci of Kirkland, Washington, one brother, Larry Willis and wife, Tina, of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; Tana York, Kiley York, Dylan York, Olivia Pucci and Adison Pucci; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
