Maddox Ryan Durbin, 5, died June 21, 2018. He was born February 4, 2013 in OKC to Lewis Durbin and Lauren Lassiter. A student at Apollo Elementary School, Maddox recently graduated from Pre-K. He loved superheroes, soccer, video games, books, drawing and playing outside. He loved life and loved his family. He was the kid who "stopped to smell the roses." Maddox touched every person he came in contact with. He would make sure that you felt good about yourself and always wanted to put a smile on everyones face. He was a very special young boy with a brilliant mind. Maddox excelled greatly at school and was excited to be accepted into the gifted program and ready for kindergarten. We will never know why this happened to our sweet baby, but he will live on in our hearts and souls. Maddox was preceded in death by his uncle, Justin Lassiter. Survivors include his mother, Lauren Lassiter and husband Caleb; father, Lewis Durbin and wife Nicki; sisters, Tianna Le and Emery Brown; grandparents, Deresa Lassiter, Lance and Valerie Lassiter, Jean Durbin, Thanh and Ann Nguyen, Jerry and Dana Hayes, Terry and Joan Bolay, Sid and Mary Ann Brown; great-grandparents, Frank and Betty Moyer, Mike and Janet Shannon, Jacquetta Blehm; great-great-grandmother, Shirley Hodge; uncles, Jeremy Lassiter, Charles Durbin, Keagen and Eric Lassiter; aunts; Mary Nguyen and Tristan Ngo; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
