Mackey E. Lantz, 89, passed away April 18, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimers. He was born April 23, 1926 in Seiling, Oklahoma to Earnest and Loretta Lantz. After graduating from Seiling High School, he served in World War II as PFC in the US Army. After the war, Mackey worked in the logging industry in Oregon. He returned to Oklahoma City and worked for OG&E for thirty-three years in the Power Production Department, retiring in 1987.
Mackey was a member of Faith Bible Church in Edmond where he served as a greeter.
His passion was cars and he always kept them shining inside and out! Mackey also liked to spend time in his yard and took pride in keeping it looking good. His pets were the love of his heart and he loved taking them on long walks out to the lake.
Mackey was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Loretta Lantz, sister, Vada Neal, and wife, Yvonne Lantz. He is survived by his son, Greg Lantz; grandchildren, Cameron Lantz and Lacey Miller (Devin); great-grandchildren, Kane Lantz and Lorelai Miller; ex-wife, Carol Black; and Godchildren, Pauletta and Leland Crowl.
Mackey will be missed by family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Integris Hospice House for the wonderful care given to Mackey.

Services will be Wednesday, April 20, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
