Lydia "Diane"
Pritchett
Sep 9, 1953 — Mar 23, 2026
Diane (Pierce) Pritchett, 72, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 23, 2026. She was born on September 9, 1953, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Zack and Betty Pierce. Diane lived a life defined by her unwavering devotion to family, her generous spirit, and a heart that made room for everyone who crossed her path.
Diane married the love of her life, Ron Pritchett, on May 5, 1984, and together they built a home filled with family and love. She began her professional career as a supervisor at Southwestern Bell, where she demonstrated the same dedication and warmth that would define every chapter of her life. Upon the birth of her second child, she chose to devote herself fully to raising her children, a calling she embraced wholeheartedly.
Her family was her everything, and she showed it in countless ways. Diane served as homeroom mom for all her children's elementary classes, planning creative themed parties that delighted students and teachers alike. Her love for children extended well beyond her own family; she welcomed her children's friends into her home with open arms and became a second momma to many. Her nurturing nature led her to care for children of teachers in the community, offering the same tenderness and devotion she gave her own.
Diane was a woman of remarkable talent and creativity. She was a gifted cook and baker whose kitchen was the heart of her home. Arts and crafts were her lifelong passion, and she had a special love for rag quilting. A craft through which she wrapped others in the same comfort and warmth she offered in every aspect of her life. Those handmade creations were treasured by those who received them. Above all, she was comforting, loyal, endlessly generous, and deeply loving, possessing a big heart that made room for everyone.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, David Pierce; and her grandson, Garrett Reynolds.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ron Pritchett; her son, Brad Pritchett; her daughters, Cherilyn Pritchett-Frazee (husband Stephen, their children Jackson, Cameron, and Emerson) and Aryn Reynolds (husband Keith, their children Abby, Gracie, Lane, Kate, Levi, and J). She is also survived by her sister, Darla Burks and countless extended family members.
Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew her love. Her faith in the Lord was a quiet and steady presence in her life, and her family finds comfort in knowing she rests peacefully in His care.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Frazee, Keith Reynolds, Blaine Pierce, Drew Burks, Jeff Burks, and Trey Burks.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, who were the light of her life; Abby, Gracie, Lane, Jackson, Kate, Cameron, Levi, Emerson, and J.
