Lucy Jane Mercer, 87, of Bethany, Oklahoma, passed away May 15, 2010. She was born to John and Mattie Norris on September 21, 1922 in Crescent, Oklahoma. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Joseph H. Mercer, and two sons, Bob Mercer and wife Carmen of Atlanta, Georgia, and Tom Mercer and wife Susan of Bethany, Oklahoma. She was deeply loved by her nine grandchildren: Billy Mercer, Don Mercer, Jennifer Whorton, Tara Tomczyk, Chris Mercer, Brad Mercer, Mike Mercer, Stacy Carpenter and Robert Mercer, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Bill and Donald Mercer; brothers, Glenn, Grover and Howard; and sister, Cletus. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Viewing will be Tuesday, 8am-9pm with the family receiving guests from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 19, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill.
