Sept. 18, 1928 June 25, 2011; OKLAHOMA CITY; Heaven opened its gates for Luc Dinh Tran on Saturday, June 25, 2011. After receiving the final sacrament Mr. Tran passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Mr. Tran was born on Sept. 18, 1928 in Vietnam and immigrated to the US in 1975 with his wife and five of his children. Preceded in death were his parents, older sister and beloved wife of 64 years, Ca Thi Luong. He is survived by their 7 children Sons: Hung & wife My, Phong (Kelly) and wife Lien; Daughters: Tuat (Mary) & husband The, Nu & husband Hao, Thu & husband Hao, Lan (Christina) & husband Dng, and Dung (Amy); 24 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and their wives, 2 sisters and their husbands, with numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. He was a devout Catholic, a hardworking assemblyman, and overall, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. His infectious laughter and fighting spirit will always be remembered and cherished. Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew Dung-Lac Catholic Church at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 2, 2011, with burial following at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family of Mr. Tran requests any monetary donation may be made to St. Andrew Dung-Lac Church Building Fund in Memory of Tran Dinh Luc.
