Lowell LaRoy Bracher died March 14, 2011 in Oklahoma City. He was born December 13, 1920 in Enid, OK to Louis Frederick and Thalia (McQuinn) Bracher. He attended Enid public schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1938. He also graduated from Enid Business College and attended Phillips University. During WWII he served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Engineers. He retired from the FAA Aeronautical Center after 35 years of Federal Service. He was a distinguished Toastmaster in Toastmasters International and a long time member of the Studebaker Drivers Club of Central Oklahoma. He also spent many years as a volunteer tax aide. Preceding him in death was his wife of 65 years, Vivian Swisher Bracher. He is survived by three children: Jan Bracher of OKC, Jayn Wells and husband, Don, of Arapaho, OK, Bradley Bracher of OKC; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Worth Bracher, and his wife, Dorothy, of Enid, OK. Viewing will be Wednesday, 9am9pm with the family present from 57pm at Mercer-Adams. Graveside services will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, March 17, 2011 in El Reno Cemetery.
