Lousetta Jean Daniel

Lousetta Jean (Herschberger) Daniel, 81, passed away October 28, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on July 30, 1945, in Hayes, KS to Vernon and Kathryn Herschberger. She graduated from Putnam City High School in 1964.

Lou met the love of her life, Fred B. Daniel, Jr., while working at the A&W Root Beer stand at 39th and MacArthur in Oklahoma City. They were married just five months later, on June 10, 1966, in Bethany, Oklahoma. Fred soon joined the U.S. Army, beginning a journey that took them to Germany, where they were stationed for five years, followed by New York, Washington, D.C., and Colorado. Eventually, they made their home in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Lou and Fred were members of the Central Oklahoma Corvette Club and shared a love of traveling and making memories together. Lou enjoyed cooking, especially preparing German schnitzel and the red velvet cake she loved to make for her son, James. She also treasured the friendships and fellowship of her high school Lunch Bunch. Lou retired from Guaranty Bank, carrying with her the many memories and relationships she built throughout her life.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vernon Q. Herschberger; sister, Omega Ann Miller; and sister-in-law, Pat Beck.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; son, James (Tami) Brewer; stepson, Shane Brewer; brother-in-law, Stan Miller; nieces, Kim (Scott) Miller, Terry (Greg) Smith and Bobbie Miller; and nephew, Richard Miller.
