Obituary

Louise (Pyron) Banks was born on December 25, 1922 near Cloud Chief, Oklahoma (Washita County) to Mr. and Mrs. Clyde G. (Ella Markham) Pyron. The Pyron Family moved to a farm south of Dill City, Oklahoma in 1930. Louise graduated from Dill City High School in 1940. She married W. Kenneth Banks on June 7, 1940 and lived on a farm in the Port area until moving to a home southwest of Dill City in 1947. In 1985, Kenneth and Louise moved to Yukon, Oklahoma. Kenneth died in 1986. In 1997, she moved to Bethany, Oklahoma. Louise was an active member of First Baptist Church in Dill City from her salvation at the age of 11 years old until 1986 when she became a member of First Baptist Church of Bethany, after moving to the area. She was a Sunday School Teacher and served as the Director of Women's Missionary Society in both churches and held most positions in that organization. She was a volunteer for Bethany Hospital and Pavilion from 1986 to 1996. Louise was a farmer's wife and helped on the farm by milking cows, raising a garden, chopping cotton or pulling cotton, driving a tractor or whatever else she needed to do. She loved flowers and the family is still enjoying her handiwork. She was loved by all and will truly be missed. She fought a long hard fight with Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her three children: Naea M. Teachman and husband, Les of Yukon, OK, J.C. Banks and wife, Renee' of Creede, CO, and Bill Banks and wife, Pam of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Cynda Harris and husband, David of New Port Richey, FL, Dan Teachman of OKC, Kenny Banks and wife, Shannon of Whitesboro, TX, Brandon Banks of Tempe, AZ, Brigitte Simpson and husband, Tim of Nashville, TN, Diana Collier and husband, Robbie of Colorado Springs, CO, Britney Lively and husband, Michael of Smyrna, TN, Brady Banks and wife, Kristen of Nashville, TN, and Bobby Banks of Murfreesboro, TN; and 14 great-grandchildren: John Harris and wife, Holly, Chelsea, Zachary and Bethany Harris, all of New Port Richey, FL, Bethany Banks of Houston, TX, Kyndal and Paige Banks of Whitesboro, TX, Tristan and Ethan Banks of Colorado Springs, CO, Piper, Harper and Darby Lively of Smyrna, TN, Maisie Simpson of Nashville, TN, and Thaddeus Banks of Nashville, TN; and a host of close relatives and friends. The family would like to thank St. Ann's Home and Frontier Hospice for going above and beyond in their loving service and care. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Bethany in Louise's name. Services will be Friday, September 7, 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Bethany with interment in Yukon Cemetery.
