Louis Gordon Stone, 81, went to heaven September 20, 2013. He was born Jan. 3, 1932 and grew up in OKC. He graduated from Classen High School, OBU, and Carver School for Missions and Social Work in 1955. He was married to Marilyn Stone for 62 years. Together, they raised three boys in OKC. He was active in his church, Putnam City Baptist, as a deacon and in leading an international Sunday School Class for 33 years, sponsoring 90 refugees from Vietnam. He taught English classes helping hundreds of students from over 26 different countries. "Mr. Lou" is loved by many of his international friends. He was a social worker and later owner of Stone Transfer and Storage Company. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of the home; two sisters, Lois and Carolyn; his son, Gordon and wife, Lee of Grand Prairie, Texas; son, Garry of OKC; son, Greg and his wife, Donna of Perry, OK; plus four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Louis' friends and family are invited to a memorial service, Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Putnam City Baptist Church.
