Loretta Ann Fox, 84, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Baptist Village Retirement Home of Oklahoma City.Loretta was born October 17, 1932, in Seneca, Kansas, the daughter of Albert Hugo Fox and Elizabeth Bokern Fox. She was the youngest of 10 siblings: Sylvester, Ignatius, Vincent, Donald, Albert, Mildred (who still survives), Benedict, Sister Aurelia, Raymond, and Loretta. As a child, she resided on their family farm in Seneca, Kansas until age 11 (1943) when they moved with her family to St Marys, Kansas.In her early years, Loretta attended Catholic parochial school in Seneca, and graduated from St Marys High School in 1950. She further completed a three-year course attaining her "Certificate in Nursing Theory and Practice" at the St Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Topeka, Kansas in 1955.On July 7, 1956, she married Lt. Robert Clarence Jurko, USAF, from Cleveland, Ohio. They resided in Bethany, Oklahoma most of their lives while raising 4 children: Thomas Robert Jurko; Brian Michael Jurko; Michele Ann Jurko; and Richard Alan Jurko. Loretta and Robert were married for 22 years. Robert (Bob) still survives with his wife, Garreline, in Oklahoma City.Loretta loved her children and enjoyed cooking, socializing, and trips to Kansas to visit family. After her kids were grown, Loretta used her medical education to work at various doctor offices in Oklahoma City. She also enjoyed time as an AVON Lady and in food services with Furrs Cafeteria until retirement. Loretta was a hard worker and enjoyed working with people.Immediate survivors include: (1) Tom Jurko, and (son) David Jurko; (2) Brian Jurko with Pamela, (his son) Devin Jurko, and (Pamelas daughter) Jade Austin; (3) Michele Jurko-Lair, (son) Michael Lair Jr with Kassidy, and (son) Corbin Lair; (4) Rick Jurko with Sally, (his daughter and son) Haley and Zak Jurko, and (Sallys son) Denny Madoux.Visitation/Viewing will be from 8am-9pm on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Mercer-Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma 73008; phone 405-495-4363; www.mercer-adams.com.
