Lora Ellen Bean, 87, passed away October 15, 2025, in Bethany, OK. She was born July 30, 1938, to Hubert and Viola (Cunningham) Robison in Oklahoma City, OK. She graduated from Putnam City High School in 1956. She married Carl Willard Bean on November 17, 1979 in Warr Acres, OK. Through the years, Ellen worked as a Quality Analyst/Process Engineer for Altec Lansing, California Heat Pump, and Rockwell International. She was a realtor with Abide Realty and an associate for Wal-Mart for many years.

Ellen and Carl created Bean Patch Crafts together. His woodworking skills and her sewing and painting expertise created many beautiful projects. They also loved the outdoors, maintaining a beautiful yard with 3 ponds. Ellen loved to find new recipes and cook for a crowd. She collected bunny figurines, angels, blue and white dishes, and roosters. She made friends easily and enjoyed entertaining. She loved spending holidays with family. More than anything, Ellen was strong both mentally and physically. She was a force to be reckoned with. She set goals and was determined to accomplish them.

Ellen had 12 people who called her mom, including the Driggers family - Billy, Glenda (Marvel), Wayne, Steve, and Suzette (dec.); the Bean family - Penny (Blankenship, dec.), Jeffery, Gregory, Laura (Nuckols), and Carlene (Scurlock); and the Brophy family - Bridgette (Smith) and Debra (Gillmar). She had 25 grandkids, 28 great-grandkids, and 2 great-great-grandkids.

Ellen's memorial service will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, Oklahoma.
