Lola passed to heaven on January 26, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she had been a resident of St Anns for 19 months. Lola graduated from Fairview High School in 1945, where she met the love of her life, Ronaldine Howard Tippin. They married on December 31, 1947, and lived in the OKC area all of their adult lives. Lola was a homemaker until her husband, "Howard," preceded her in death in 1973. She later worked at Feed the Children and was a counselor at the Trinity Broadcasting Network Station in OKC. She also worked in the state attorney generals office and helped to edit books. Lola lived in her home in Bethany until the advancement of the RA disease that she fought for 25 years took its toll and she then moved to St. Anns. Lola had studied interior decorating in college and it became the basis for her passion to shop. She was also very passionate about her faith in her Lord Jesus and her family. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and sister, Luella Kummell. She is survived by her sister, Marcella Gilchrist of OKC; sons, Mark and Brian Tippin and their wives Robin and Lisa of OKC, Jon and wife Kathy of Ponca City; niece, Karen Nowlin of OKC; grandchildren, Jennifer, Daniel and wife Haley, and Cameron Tippin; and her great-grandchild, William Tippin.
