Obituary

Linda Colleen Bryson Ray Young was born "at a very young age" in Conway, Arkansas to Enloe Clark and Dorothy (Jennings) Bryson on July 1, 1944. She went to four different elementary schools. Her daddy was kind of a gypsy. She never knew when she came home from school at the end of the day whether or not there would be a For Sale sign in the front yard. She only went to one high school, Harding High School and graduated in 1962, but during those years the family moved several times. After graduation, she told her daddy she didnt need to go to college, that shed just be a secretary, get married and have lots of babies. She checked off all of those boxes. She married Jim Young on December 27, 1977. Jim says life with Linda was always an adventure. She is preceded in death by her parents, Enloe and Dorothy Bryson, brother, Larry Bryson, grandson, Evan Seeley and granddaughter, Ashley Stevens. She leaves behind her husband Jim, 9 children, Mike, Michelle, Melanie, Doug, David, Dawn, Sandra, Jackie and Jimmy, 22 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, Sister, Janis Pickinpaugh and sister by choice, Kathleen Sebree, as well as sons and daughters-in law and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many others who consider her their Granny. If you knew her for more than five minutes, she probably considered you family. Her one request is for us to make sure you know her Jesus like she does. The family would like to thank Integris Hospice, especially Kim, Starla and Virginia and her special caregivers in the home: Efua, Kim, Mary, Marilyn and Shelby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ALS Association, PCBC Camp Scholarship Fund or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. "Youve got to do the right thing no matter what anyone else says or does." "Any time spent with a child is never wasted."
