Linda Louise Arnold was born February 13, 1948, in Durant, OK to Rev. Alvin Thomas and Mildred L. (Lewis) Smith. She passed away December 17, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Linda married Michael Ray Arnold in October, 1980 and they were married for 32 years before his death.

Linda achieved her Doctoral degree and enjoyed a career as Marketing Director/Professor of Special Education at the University of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Smith in 2003; mother, Mildred L. Smith in 2005; husband, Michael R. Arnold in 2012; and sister, Betty June Cowden in 2011.

She is survived by son, Michael (Patricia) Arnold; brother, Dewaine Smith of Wichita, KS; niece, Stacy Maker; and nephews, Scott Smith of Kansas City, Jeff Smith of Edmond, OK, and Bryan Smith of Tulsa, OK.

No services are planned at this time.

Linda's final disposition will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK.
