Obituary

Lillian Faye Bevill Siems, 79, of Yukon, Okla., passed away Sept. 30, 2017, while on vacation in Divide, Colo. Faye was born in Searcy, Ark., to Robert Bevill and Lenis Coles Bevill on Aug. 23, 1938, the youngest of 12. She married her sweetheart, Fredrick G. Siems, Sr., Aug. 25, 1956, in Texas City, Texas. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Fred. They had celebrated 60 years of marriage before his home going last September. Besides being a homemaker extraordinaire, Faye worked for her son Fred as an office assistant at his dental practice in El Reno, Okla. Faye always said her first love was being mom to her children and wife to her husband. Because of Fred Sr.s career, which took the family to numerous cities, Faye and Fred made many friendships that have endured over the years. Family and friends remember Fayes Arkansas drawl spouting homespun wisdom. Hospitality was her middle name. No one that visited Fayes home ever left hungry. Faye also believed in spending quality time in great quantities with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have treasured memories of sleepovers at Grandmas. Laughter and love were always present in great abundance. Family gatherings wont be quite the same without Faye, the heart of her family. Hymn singing, playing games, watching home videos, eating, playing jokes on one another, and non-stop laughter will be recalled for years to come. Fayes legacy is a life lived for Christ, which influenced four generations. A godly woman and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Faye was faithful in praying for her family and friends. Though her passing leaves an empty place in the hearts of everyone who knew her, their blessed assurance is that Faye is safe in the arms of Jesus. She was a life-long member of the Church of the Nazarene and an active member of the Mustang Church of the Nazarene. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother; seven sisters; and one son, Dr. Fredrick G. Siems, Jr. Faye is survived by three sisters, Jean Eales of LaMarque, Texas; Mary Lou Reams of Searcy, Ark.; Agnes Blackburn (Elmer) of Tishomingo, Okla.; two sons, Henry (Charlotte) Siems of Edmond, Okla., and Jeff (Sallye) Siems of Bethany, Okla.; one daughter, Melanie (Kevin) Metcalf of Yukon, Okla.; one daughter-in-law, Dr. Ami Siems (Bill) Dillard of Yukon, Okla.; 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at Mercer Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N Asbury Ave, Bethany, OK 73008. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Mustang Church of the Nazarene, 700 East State Highway 152, Mustang, OK 73064. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Mustang Church of the Nazarene to the memorial fund in honor of Faye. These gifts will be used to fund the memorial garden in their park area.
