To Celebrate and HonorLetha "Jo" Sullivan Sparks
"Grandmom"
1/9/1935-8/9/2022
My mom was born in Atwood, OK to R.C. and Bonnie Sullivan ~ and died peacefully at our home. Mom was married to daddy, Jim Sparks, for 49 years, until his death ~ no one could ever take his place. She leaves behind me, Janie Sparks Hutchens, her grandchildren, Bryce and Tyler Hutchens and Shelby Mirzababa. Also, her 3 great-grandchildren, Cooper Hutchens, Railey Jane and Ezra Mirzababa. Other immediate survivors include her big brother, Donald Lynn Sullivan, Cindy, Carla and Kennedy Sullivan, Tammy Sullivan, Sherri Farmer and her children Jordan and Katie. Also surviving are Lanny Latham, Tyrel McCain, Kavon Mirzababa and Emily Laufrgraben and including children Karina, Athena and Reid. In-laws, L.O. and Marilyn Harrington, Merle Wilkerson, Larry and JoElla Goddard, and Kenny and Gayle Sparks ~ and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cletus and Lloyd; my dad, J.C.; sisters-in-law, Betty Sullivan and Maxine Sullivan.
"Gram" was devoted to me and my children and then their children. She would do everything and anything possible for/with them. Her favorite times were traveling the country with daddy in their RV ~ usually with their grandchildren and puppies. The "RV travels" and my parents, gave my kids the best memories of their lives. Mom loved watching Bryce and Tyler playing hockey (usually screaming her head off) and Shelbys dance recitals ~ mom then watched as many Cooper and Railey games as she could. Mom came to wherever we were living at the time, as often as she could get away ~ we spent the majority of holidays together. Mom worked for Xerox for many years, finally retiring. She kept in close touch with the Xerox people and loved their lunch get-togethers. The Xerox people were her extended family. Other extended family included all my friends and every friend that my kids ever had ~ she introduced herself as "Grandmom" and this is how she was wanted to be thought of. She will be sorely missed by so many.
