Lester W. Stein, was born Jan. 13, 1916, in Oakwood, OK to Raymond Albert and Carrie Gladys Cline Stein. He died Feb. 1, 2009 in Oklahoma City. Lester was a resident of the Fay and Watonga communities where he was a carpenter. He attended Excelsior School near Fay, OK and was a member of the Nazarene Church. He married Maxine Coleman on Aug. 10, 1938 and together they had one son and two daughters. His wife preceded him in death on January 31, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers Clarence Stein and Lawrence Stein and three sisters Mabel Lantz, Irene McDonald, and Pansy Hall. Survivors include son Harlan Stein of Blanchard, OK and daughters Adra Plumlee of Brownwood, TX and Rhonda Harris of Oklahoma City, OK, two brothers Leonard Stein of Clinton, OK and Clifford Stein of Stillwater, OK. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, along with numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wed., Feb. 4, 2009 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Watonga. Interment will follow at the Watonga I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Viewing will be Tues. Feb. 3, 9 am 9 pm, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany.
