Lester Odell Montgomery, 91, of Oklahoma City, passed away September 13, 2010. He was born March 25, 1919 in Altus, Oklahoma to Thomas and Pearl (Cornelius) Montgomery. Lester was an aircraft instrument technician for Aero Commander for 28 years. He attended Trinity Church of the Nazarene for the last 76 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Esta Montgomery, brothers, Orris & Oran Montgomery and Winfred Chick. Lester is survived by his wife of 71 years, Della; daughter, Carolyn Davis and husband Everett; sons, Ray Montgomery and Don Montgomery; siblings, Billy Montgomery, Wilma Snowbarger and husband Marion and Delma Tracy and husband Jim. Lester also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Thursday, 9am-9pm, with the family receiving guests from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene with interment at 2:00 p.m., Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Trinity Church of the Nazarene building fund.
