Obituary

Leon C. "Lee" Ramsdell, age 70, went home to be with the Lord October 10, 2013. Lee was born November 26, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, son of the late Norma (Doran) and Carroll Ramsdell. He graduated from Climax-Scotts High School in 1961 and was married to his sweetheart, Janet L. Jenkins, on October 7, 1961. Lee and Jan were exceedingly blessed in raising 7 children in their 52 years of marriage. For over 30 years, he barbered at the Galloway Barber Shop. In that time, Lee enjoyed cutting hair for generations of Bethany residents. He delighted in the many friendships he made at the shop and among the businesses in Bethany. All who knew him knew of his faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. Other than this, Lee's family was most important to him. He was preceded in death by his son, Ethan C. Ramsdell and 7 grandchildren. Lee is survived by his wife, Jan, of Yukon and their 6 children, Deann (Mike) Ross of Yukon, Nick (Marti) Ramsdell of Yukon, Stacy (Scott) Cain of Evergreen, CO, Stefanie (Cory) Bos of Yukon, Emily Gilliland of Yukon, and Jeff (Jessica) Ramsdell of Edmond. Lee is also survived by his 26 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his brothers, Dean (Debbie) Ramsdell of Climax, MI and Randy (Holly) Ramsdell of Portage, MI; nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
