Lenora Grace (Houser) Barnard passed away December 22, 2010. Grace was a woman of faith, love and charity. She had many talents and a love for cooking and serving others. Her fabulous gift of hospitality was given whole-heartedly and lovingly. No friendship was ever neglected and the joy of her friends and family were always honored by a card or special gift. Grace was born August 18, 1920 to W.H. and Naomi Houser in Muldrow, OK. She and her family moved to Russellville, AR in 1929. She attended Russellville Assembly of God church where she taught Sunday School classes and youth groups. She and Ott Barnard were married in 1936, living in Russellville until moving to Bethany, OK in 1956. Grace was an active member of Putnam City Assembly of God where she taught various classes for 37 years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jones, Husband, Ott Barnard and Sister Verna Murphy. She is survived by daughters Margaret Barnard and Carolyn (Aaron) Thornton, Son-in-law Tommy (Sharon) Jones, Grandchildren Cherie Jones, Darin Plaster and Tammy Chesshir, Great-Grandchild Haylee Plaster and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Wade McCoy and RN Sue Rogers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Full Life Hospice, 4001 N. Classen Blvd, Suite 205 OKC, OK 73118. Family will receive visitors from 2 4pm Sun. at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Mon, Dec. 27, 10:00 am. at Mercer Adams Chapel with interment in Resurrection cemetery.
