Lena "Viola" Gaddis went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2017. She was born August 21, 1938 in Phoenix, Arizona to James Garfield Jernigan and Lura Jane Woody Jernigan.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brother, Lester James Jernigan and sister, Una Melvina "Jackie" Logsdon.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, of the home, Edward Gaddis; brother, Luther Andrew Jernigan of Kingman, AZ; daughters, Sharon Ann Marlin of Warr Acres and Cindy Scarbrough of Yukon, OK; and son, Warren "Tracy" Hammer of Pilot Point, TX. She has 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime employee of Tinker Air Force Base working in the Tubing and Cable Department and retired from there. She was a longtime member of Faith Church in Oklahoma City.
Graveside service is to be held at Coalgate, Oklahoma at the cemetery north of town on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Pall Bearers will be Dwayne Gaddis, Stan Escalante, Warren "Tracy" Hammer, Richard Marlin, William Marlin, and Cory Scarbrough.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Diabetes Research, Alzheimers Research or the charity of your choice.
