Obituary

Lena Kathryn Eddleman (87) passed away on January 18, 2012. She was born to Clarence F. and Ida May Johnston in Oklahoma City on July 25, 1924. She was raised in Tipton, Oklahoma, and graduated from St. Anthonys nursing school where she was fondly known as one of the Gold Dust Twins. She served as an R.N. at the military hospital in Longview, Texas, during WWII. She married Dr. J.W. Morrison in 1947 and they had two daughters. Her love for children brought her to work at the Bethany Guidance Center where she retired in 1986. In 1984 she married her childhood sweetheart, Will John Eddleman, and they shared 27 precious years together. She is survived by her loving husband; sister Jane Ann Hamilton and husband Bill; daughters Ann Bowman and husband Mark, Jill Johnson and husband Randy; step daughters Linda Osborne and husband Tim, Johnita Smith, Nancy Ruby and husband Pat; grandchildren Jason and Dyann Allen, Sara and Aaron Clute, Lee and Leslie Johnson, Chris Allen, Adrienne Bowman, Cody Ruby, Taylor Johnson, and Trevor Bowman; great grandchildren Jensyn and Jaylea Allen, Annabel Johnson and Luka Clute; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mercer Adams Funeral Home on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Graveside Service will be held in Tipton, Oklahoma on Sunday at 1:00 pm. The family would like to sincerely thank all the staff of the Autumn Bridge Hospice and the many kind neighbors who have been so very thoughtful and supportive. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made to Hefner Middle School for the Special Olympians, 8400 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73132.
