Lena Opal Bellamy, 99, went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2010. Born on December 16, 1910, in Vian, Oklahoma to parents Dallas Rayburn and Fannie Isabel (London) Squyres, she was one of ten siblings. She was raised in Hulbert, OK, but later moved to Oklahoma City and graduated from Central High School. In 1935, she married Wesley E. Bellamy. She worked for many years at and retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. She was a longtime member of Putnam City Baptist Church and also a member of Eastern Star. Lena was a caring and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to share her sewing, cooking and gardening talents with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Lena is survived by her son, Gene Bellamy; granddaughter Kathy Damrill and husband Jack; grandson Danny Bellamy; great grandchildren Mitch and Brooke Malherbe, Kaitlyn and Kelsie Damrill; and many nieces, nephews and special extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers and sisters, husband, and daughter-in-law. Graveside services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 N.W. Expressway, on Thursday, November 11th at 11:00am.
