Lee graduated from Meade Bible Academy in 1952, followed by a career in transport refrigeration mechanics, sales and service. He was employed by Central States Thermo King for over 45 years, counting his many co-workers over the years as friends.

Lee is remembered for his devotion to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to his family, church and work. Although he enjoyed the outdoors, boating and fishing, and helping his brother on the farm, his commitment to and satisfaction of his work made it more like a life-long hobby that he was able to continue even as his health declined.
