Lawrence Daniel Roe (Danny), 72, passed away December 3, 2017 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Oklahoma City, OK, after a long battle with cancer. Danny was born July 1, 1945 in McAlester, OK to Flora Jean (McCullar) Roe and Jimmy Roe. Danny grew up and attended school in Krebs and McAlester. In his early 30s, he moved to Oklahoma City to be near his family. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Roe. He is survived by his mother, Flora Roe, Yukon, OK; sister, Brenda Eastwood and husband Nowlin of Yukon, OK; three brothers, Gary Roe and wife Faye of Krebs, OK, Jimmy A. Roe and wife Barbara of Antlers, OK, and Kenny Roe and wife Twyla of Oklahoma City; and six nieces and five nephews. Danny worked for a disabled Pastor, Jerry Johnson, for several years, pushing him in a wheelchair, visiting people in hospitals and nursing homes. Danny always had a smile on his face and was seen quite often with a Bible in his hands. He loved his family dearly and his favorite time in life was spending time with them at Christmas. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 6, 1:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, OK.
