Lavernon Collins, 93, passed away February 9, 2026 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born October 21, 1932 in Mounds, OK to Mack and Clara (Willerton) Collins. Lavernon married Marianne Montgomery and they were blessed with many years together until her death in January, 2024.

Lavernon was a geologist, working in the oilfields. He loved to camp and fish and enjoyed building things. He and Marianne were faithful volunteers for the Baptist Builders Association and Disaster Relief.

Lavernon was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marianne and his daughter, Karen Yoder. He is survived by his children, Mike Collins and LaDeena James; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
