LaVerne Myrtle Burrows was born December 14, 1928 in Gotebo, OK to Thomas and Myrtle (Brown) Suggs. On November 7, 1947, she married Robert "Bob" Burrows. They built their home in Oklahoma City and were married for 68 years. They were blessed with two sons, David and Gerald. LaVerne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Summer vacations included camping, boating and skiing at Oklahoma lakes and special trips to the New Mexico mountains. LaVerne was very active at Putnam City Baptist Church until joining Village Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include two children, David Burrows and wife Kathy of Bethany, OK; Gerald Burrows and wife Linda of Edmond, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Ed Lamb of OKC. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams.
