Laurie was happily married to her best-friend, Larry King, for 31+ wonderful years, tying the knot on November 7, 1991 in Oklahoma City, OK. They loved deeply and shared a love for family, where she loved, embraced and exemplified what it means to be a grandparent. They crafted a life best characterized in their times at the lake, boating, grilling, classic-rock, shuffleboard, shenanigans with family & friends, an ice-cold adult beverage, and annual/holiday lake cove parties.
Laurie worked for Quik Print Inc. for 33+ years where she recently retired as Senior Accountant. She worked extremely hard knowing she would provide the opportunity for her two boys to have a college education and any life they could dream or desire. Mission accomplished and anyone who conversed with her was aware she wore that badge with pride. Laurie was so proud and boasted of her boys attending college and professional school, with Beau graduating from the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business, and Nicholas graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Laurie was proud of Beau and Nik, and so proud to be a Sooner Mom!
Laurie was a beautiful soul who lived life in the moment. She was a boss, who did things her way, and expected everyone else to do it her way as well! She never missed an opportunity to party it up with her husband, her kids, or her lake family! She loved her transition to Gigi/Grandma and spoiled the absolute heck out of her grand kids!
She will be forever missed and will forever live on through those she loved. At the bedrock and foundation of who we, her husband and kids are, is the strongest and most enduring wife and mother whos joy in life was to support and lift us up while showing us how to enjoy and live life in a larger than life and vibrant way.
