Laura Moriah Atkinson, 20, of Midwest City, died suddenly on Saturday, May 7, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born September 28, 1995 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of Ron and Teresa Atkinson.
Laura had an array of interests including riding her motorcycle, painting, singing, playing drums and guitar, and reading. She was deeply inspired by music and poetry. She adored her nephews; the pride and love in her eyes was evident every time she spoke of them. She loved animals big and small - especially her two dogs, Kara and Tanis.
Laura eagerly looked forward to traveling the world and hoped to be a paramedic overseas so she could help victims of natural disasters. She always encouraged her loved ones to chase their dreams while fearlessly chasing her own. Her passion for adventure was contagious. She lived life with everything she had, and her joyful, compassionate and loving spirit will be missed by those who were privileged to know her.
Surviving in addition to her parents are brothers, Jace and wife Angel, and Rion and wife Catherine; grandparents, Jerry and Jeanna Outlaw, and Hershel and Rhea Atkinson. She is also survived by many loved aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
