Laura Jo "Jody" Erwin was called into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 21, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Everett "Sandy" Erwin, in 2011. She is survived by one daughter, Evie Jo Erwin, of the home. Laura Jo was born on April 19, 1927 in Lindsay, OK to Joseph Lloyd and Edith Rae Hamilton. She had one brother, Alvin Allen Hamilton, who also preceded her in death in 2012. She is also survived by one nephew, Allen Wayne Hamilton and wife Karen of Las Vegas, NM, and his son, Bobby and wife Megan and their two daughters, Blair and Lily and Jan Hamilton; her niece, Janet Saline and husband Kenneth, and sons, Troy and wife Lena, and Scott Saline. Laura Jo had many friends who loved her and her influence was remarkable. She adored her family and was the ultimate wife, mother and homemaker. Of all the women in the world, she was the only one who could truly be called the soulmate of Everett "Sandy" Erwin. She asked little and gave much and her love for her daughter was beyond measure. With her passes the end of an era, and she is deserving of one of the places of highest honor in heaven with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her husband, Everett.
