Obituary

LaRue Plummer Anderson entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at her home after a short illness with liver disease surrounded by her 3 daughters, grandkids and friends. She was born in Plumerville, Arkansas on January 27, 1933, a daughter of Samuel Carl and Mabel Malone Plummer. She was a graduate of Plumerville High School in the class of 1951. She was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Bethany. LaRue was an excellent cook, seamstress, and homemaker. She enjoyed catering events with her friends and at church activities. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and a special friend to many others. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Norman Ramon Anderson; a daughter, Mona Smith; and her son-in-law, Bob Stephenson. She is survived by three daughters, Marsha Stephenson of OKC, Jan Parker, Maribeth White and husband, Mark, all of Bethany, OK; Five grandsons, Dr. Ted Smith and wife Nicole, and Tim Smith of Dallas, TX, Marty, Mitchell and Montana White, and a granddaughter, MaCaulie White, all of Bethany; two great-granddaughters, Ceanna White and Sophia Smith; and brother, Bill Plummer of Plumerville, AR. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, OK. Burial will be in Plumerville Cemetery, Plumerville, AR on Thursday, August 11, 2:00pm. Memorials may be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church, Bethany, OK.
