Larry DeWitt Rawlings, 73, died September 8, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He was born October 22, 1946 in Oklahoma City to B.D. and Marguerite (Burdick) Rawlings. He married Carolyn Cook on December 27, 1969 in Lawton, OK. Larry was a 1964 graduate of Shawnee High School and earned an associate degree in 1967 from Oklahoma Military Academy. He retired from the Oklahoma Tax Commission after 26 years as Revenue Unit Manager, Ad Valorem Division and was a Real Estate Broker and Appraiser. He served in the 95th Army Reserve for 10 years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn of Oklahoma City; son, Kevin Rawlings of Oklahoma City; grandson, Forrest ODonnell, New Jersey; step-mother, Janice Crews Rawlings of Edmond; sister-in-law, Sandra Ryan (Pat) of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law, Max Cook (Cindy) of Jeff City, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and constant companion, Rusty.
Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 12, 1:00pm at Resurrection Cemetery.
