Obituary

Larry Guy Edgman, age 67, died on Friday August 13, 2021 surrounded by family. Larry was born May 18, 1954 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was the middle child and only son of Robert and Marian Edgman. Larry grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City HS in 1973. He worked for Data Terminals of Oklahoma for 15 years and Tulsa Cash Registers for 8 years as a computer programmer before retiring. Larry enjoyed rooting for OU football and playing games on his XBox where he made several friends in the gaming community. One of his passions was fishing with his family, at the pond or at Lake Texoma. Afterwards he enjoyed getting the family together for some of his delicious fried fish and hush puppies. Some of his other passions included collecting firearms and hunting. He became famous for his delicious venison jerky. It was quite the labor of love and he loved to gift it to his family and friends. His greatest passion of all, though, was his family. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, often being the first to arrive to family get-togethers, and the last to leave. Larry is survived by his three children; daughter, Megan Edgman and partner Mark Wechsler; son, Brandon Edgman; daughter, Lauren Estrada and husband Nicholas; mother, Marian Edgman; sisters, Diane Morris and husband Richard and Debbie West and husband Joe; grandchildren, Derek Baker, Leighton, Laila, Korie and Emma Estrada as well as countless cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Edgman. Memorial services will be held Friday, August 20, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel. .
